From "When Dogs Save," When Dogs Heal.
"It turned out that having Stoli was the opposite of the prison I had allowed my life with HIV to become. Living with Stoli was freeing. I had gotten so used to being alone and inside that I'd forgotten the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the birds chirping outside. It gave me hope to see that dog so happy, even as I just rode around in my wheelchair. I hadn't felt happiness like that in quite some time. I had forgotten how good it could feel."
